„Resound, Polish songs!” in Trakai. Special guest – Ewelina Saszenko.

The Regional Department of Association of Poles in Lithuania in Trakai invites everyone to the XXII Festival of Culture of Polish Trakai Land „Resound, Polish songs!” (“Dźwięcz, Polska Pieśni!”), which starts today (2nd June) in Senieji Trakai.

The event will open with a grand march down the Trakų street in Senieji Trakai to the Church of the Epiphany of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Benedict where the Holy Mass will be celebrated.

After the Mass, at the church square performances of artistic groups will take place.

The festival will beging with the performance of Šalčininkai Brass Band of the Stanislaw Moniuszko’s School of Fine Arts. The visitors will also have the opportunity of listening to bands from Trakai, Trakai region, Lentvaris, Paluknys, Rūdiškės, Buivydžiai, and Pabradė. The special guest of the festival will be Ewelina Saszenko.

“This is a traditional festival, liked by the inhabitants of the region, an opportunity for the bands to show their achievements.” say the organizers.

The festival starts at 10:30 in Senieji Trakai.
