In Czarny Bór – Józef Mackiewicz Square

House of the well-known polish writer’s Józef Mackiewicz in Czarny Bór has been placed in the cultural monument records. Furthermore, Czarny Bór municipality wants to manage a square near the house to be dedicated to writer.

The Foundation Aid to Poles in the East in cooperation with Education and Development Centre as well as the County Community of Czarny Bór (Wspólnota Wsi Starostwa Czarnego Boru) filed an application for the financing of the project ‘Establishing Józef Mackiewicz Square’

As Danuta Darczanowa, the leader of the County Community of Czarny Bór (Wspólnota Wsi Starostwa Czarnego Boru says, one of the primary objectives of the project is to commemorate polish writer and popularize his literary output.
