A group of Members of the Lithuanian Parliament went to Warsaw to discuss preliminary work before resuming the debates of the Polish and Lithuanian Parliamentary Assemblies.

As Arvydas Nekrošius, Vice-Chairman of the Sejm, said, it is likely that during the meeting the date of the future meetings, which will take place after more than ten years of break, will be determined. Apart from Nekrošius, to Poland will also go Arūnas Gumuliauskas and Viktoras Rinkevičius from the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union, social democrat Algirdas Sysas, and representative of the EAPL-ZChR Jarosław Narkiewicz. This delegation will return to Vilnius on Tuesday.

At the same time Arūnas Gumuliauskas and Jarosław Narkiewicz became members of the delegation of the Parliamentary Committee for Education and Science headed by the chairman Eugenijus Jovaiša, who will meet with the relevant committee of the Polish Parliament on 1st till 4th October. As the Chancellery of the Sejm informs, during the visit the issues of higher education development, cooperation of countries in the field of culture, and national minorities will be discussed.
