New School in Pilaitė

Vilnius Municipality announced that a new school in Pilaitė for approximately 700 students will be build. There are plans to start building a new school in 2019 next to Tolminkiemio street. Currently building plans are drawing.

In Pilaitė are two schools – Secondary School named Martynasa Mažvydasa and Secondary School (Gymnasium) Pilaitė, where more then 2000 students participating in.

Number of first- grade students in Pilaitė are increasing- In 2014, 256 students were registered, in previous year – 377.

Pilaitė is an administrative districts of Vilnius residents by the two lakes it borders – Salotė and Gėlužė. Pilaitės street is the centre of Pilaite. In the east blocks of flats are placed.  An old houses ( villages and old farms) are on the west of Gėlužė lake. Pilaitė is on the border of Zujunai and Buivydiškės on the north, Sałata and Rajsze located by Sałata lake on the south. Aqua mill and 2 kurgan are placed in old part of the district. New part of the district was developed in 90’s 20th century.
