“Brownsea” scout camp: There is no bad weather here

Since the 7th of July, at the Galonas lake, the “Brownsea” scout camp organised by the Polish Scouting Association in Lithuania has been taking place. The scouts have already had the opening appeal, a first fire, a watch and even played hare and hounds. The camp is divided into sub-camps where everyone has his or her own specialisation, such as ciphers, history, topography, law and scout pledge. The classes are led on the basis of specialisation and vary from embroidering or learning climbing knots to kayaking. A lot of adventures are ahead because the camp will last until the 21st of July. The name of this year’s camp refers to the first scout camp, which was held on the 1st of August 1907 on Brownsea Island.
