Lithuanian priority list without Poland

Although the biggest parties, before parliamentary elections, have highlighted the necessity of improving the relationship with Poland, Parliamentary Board has not included it on the diplomacy priority list.

According to 15min.lt, the Parliamentary Board has highlighted, in the act that has been passed on 3rd of March, the need to strengthen relations between USA and The Eastern Partnership countries, as well as to take actions to prevent building the nuclear power station in Astravyets in Belarus.

The Deputy Speaker of the Seimas, Gediminas Kirkilas, says that Poland has not been considered in six main courses of actions of parliamentary diplomacy, because maintaining the relationship with this country on the parliamentary basis is less pricey, than with other countries. He claims, that Members of Parliament should attend more meetings with Members of Parliament in Poland than it has been actually planned.
