New programme in Russian language on public television

Public television LRT and German television Deuche Welle signed a two-year memorandum thanks to which a new Russian language programme will be released.

In this way Lithuanian television wants to combat the propaganda of Kremlin. Starting from June 1st, LRT Kultura will transmit Russian-speaking programme ‘Geofaktor’. We understand the importance of information in the Russian language, which is why we increase the number of programmes. The contract signed is a concrete result. We will look for further means to enrich the Russian-speaking programme […] We do it so that Russian-speaking viewers may have access to diversified information’ – said Deputy CEO Rimvydas Paleckis.
