LRT is to fight the Russian propaganda

In response to the Kremlin’s propaganda Lithuanian translation Announces Public Television special programs that will be addressed to the Russian-speaking population of the country. In the autumn program is expected to create revealing the source of propaganda and its principles.

In the opinion of the Chairman of the LRT Žygintasa Pečiulisa, now the conditions are created to translate those programs. The priority is to appear hostile propaganda broadcasts denouncing states. It remains unclear, however, who would make them happen.

In addition, public television programs promises to increase the palette that would be directed to the Russian people, produced in the West. LRT finalized the terms of cooperation with the German public television Deutsche Welle on the retranslation of programs in Russian.
