The organizers of the AWPL-ZPL reunion expect more than a thousand participants

The Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania and the Vilnius District Branch of ZPL invite everyone to the Touristic Family Reunion AWPL-ZPL which will take place at the Lake Asveja on upcoming Saturday and Sunday.

The reunion has been organized for 14 years and like every year, the organizers invite all members and well-wishers of AWPL and ZPL. The place of the reunion has not changed for a long time. Participants bivouac at the Lake Asveja in Bieliszki in Sužionių parish.

“For now, few people have signed up however, the biggest boom will be in a few days before the reunion,” informs the secretariat of the organizing committee of the reunion.

The opening ceremony of the reunion will take place on Saturday, July 19th, at 1 p.m., and participants will be admitted to the area from 9 a.m. Within two days of cooperative bivouac, there will be a number of sporting events: volleyball, basketball and football competitions, tug-of-war, weightlifting as well as competitions for children. Additionally, there are scheduled knowledge contests of Vilnius, competition of the prettiest farmhouse, concerts of different bands from the Vilnius region as well as bonfires and disco.

“To a large extent the successful reunion depends on the weather. In recent years there were approximately 1000-1500 people. We hope that this year the weather will be great and this number will not decrease,” say the organizers.
