Daszkiewicz resigns his post as Šalčininkai district administrative director

The Council of local government of Šalčininkai district accepted the resignation of Šalčininkai district administrative director Bolesław Daszkiewicz. The Council designated Józef Rybak, who thus far held the post of deputy director, to take over the position of director.

– Professional life poses a daunting challenge to each of us. You were the first administrative director of Šalčininkai district in independent Lithuania and you were the only one to hold this post for 20 years. Your commitment, ability to work with other people and respect you had to each of us enabled you to meet that challenge in a way that deserves recognition and admiration. On my own behalf and on behalf of all the councilors I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to you for your careful and solid work in favor of the district’s community. Now when you are starting a new chapter in your life I would like to wish you health, perseverance that is necessary for fulfilling your dreams and goals, as well as every happiness in your private life – the mayor of Šalčininkai district Zdzisław Palewicz said thanking administrative director Bolesław Daszkiewicz.

Administrative director Bolesław Daszkiewicz thanked the councilors for cooperation and assured that working in local government was a good and fruitful time in his life.

The Council of local government designated Józef Rybak to take over the position of administrative director of Šalčininkai district. According to the Law on Local Self-government, J. Rybak was nominated by the mayor of the district Zdzisław Palewicz. The nomination of J. Rybak was approved by 19 out of 20 councilors in secret ballot. One person voted against the nomination.

– Thank you so much for your trust. I hope for effective and fruitful cooperation over the next 7 months, that is by the end of the term of office of the Council – newly appointed administrative director of Šalčininkai district Józef Rybak said.

Józef Rybak will officially take up the post of administrative director on June 2nd of this year.
