Joanna Moro won Wiktor Publiczności [Wiktor Prize awarded by the public]

The Vilnian Joanna Moro, actress playing the main role in the serial “Anna German” won the prestigious prize – Wiktor Publiczności. Super Wiktor [The Super Wiktor] was received by the president Bronisław Komorowski.

For the winner of the Wiktor Publiczności voted the public. Joanna was also nominated in the category Odkrycie Roku [the Discovery of the Year], in which the laurels were won by the presenter of TVN Filip Chajzer. The Super Wiktor for his work as a whole received the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski.

Receiving the prize, the President remained that this year`s edition of Wiktory fell on the 25 anniversary of winning back the independence.

“All those achievements that are behind these prizes create a beautiful picture of all of us, the whole Poland in the unusual period which was the whole journey to the freedom and not easy way through the Polish freedom. We are still following this way and we can truly feel the satisfaction, sometimes according to a Wiktor`s lights and sometimes according to the Super Wiktor`s lights – said the president during the Sturday`s  gala in Warsaw.

Next to the President Super Wiktor was awarded also to Krzysztof Krawczyk who was celebrating the 50th anniversary of his career as a singer, the Chief of the National Opera and  the Minister of Culture Waldemar Dąbrowski, sports commentator Dariusz Szpakowski and the lyrics author Jacek Cygan.

The prizes received also people dealing with culture, sports and media. In the category Aktor Roku [the Actor of the Year] won Robert Więckiewicz. Kamil Stoch – the winner of the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup 2013/2014 received the award for the Sportsman of the Year.

Dawid Podsiadło received the statuette for the Star of the Song. As  the Discovery of the Year was acknowledged Filip Chajzer and the Personality – the presenter of TVP, Agata Młynarska. In the category the Commentator of the Year won the journalist Maciej Wierzyński.

The award for the TV presenter won the chief of „Wiadomości” in TVP 1 Piotr Kraśko. In the category the Regiseur of the Programm was chosen Katarzyna Kolenda – Zaleska. The journalist working for TVN made a document about the American president`s, Jimmy Carter`s adviser and a political scientists Zbigniew Brzeziński.

The candidates for the prizes are tipped by the TV stations and the winners are appointed by Akademia Wiktorów [Wiktor Academy] consisting of the up to now laureates. The statuettes are awarded in ten categories and an additional prize awards the public. Wiktors are awarded since 1985.

Wiktor is a not big statuette projected and made of bronze by Andrzej Renes.
