This year for the 8th time Baltoji Vokė Municipality will choose the Man of the Year. Three persons were nominated to this honourable title: Jelena Gałkowska, Anna Sareło and Roberts Čekutis.

“This year we have three nominations and we are glad that every candidate represent various groups. There is a pensioner, a village administrator and a director of a joint-stock company (…) Now we have quite a lot of work with assessing all candidates” said for “Znad Wilii” Radio starost Henryk Baranowicz who is also the originator of the competition. According to the starost such competitions are very important because they reward people who work hard for their “local homeland”.

The election of the Man of the Year will take place on December 16 and the solemn ceremony on December 30.
