Girl scout Violetta Narywska (1972 – 2013)

On 22nd September 2013, being 41 years old, girl scout Irena Narywska has passed away in Bydgoszcz. She was specialized in singing solo and a pedagogue in Musical Academy of F. Nowowiejski in Bydgoszcz. She was born on 26 November, 1972 in Vilnius as a daughter of Włodzimierz. She has graduated in Vilnius and became a member of the Association of Poles in Lithuania.

As an excel student of a secondary school in 1990, she chose to study in Musical Academy of F. Nowowiejski in Bydgoszcz and she came there. On the very beginning of studies she met a Urszula Bogcka, a pedagogue lector and an academic teacher of this university. It was then, on 9th November 1990, when she became a a member of Gymnastic Society “Sokół” II Bydgoszcz  in Lithuania – Fordon. She was taking part in very important proceedings of “Sokół” society in Bydgoszcz – Fordon (9-10.11.1990). Afterwards, she participated in a meeting of Fordon “Sokół” movement. She was introduced then to the “sokół” idea.

In 1991 she became a member of a founding committee of Gymnastic Society “Sokół” in Vilnius, Lithuania –Ejszyszki, which came into being in the nest of the fordon residence at Bachledy street in Bydgoszcz – Fordon. Chairman Andrzej Bogucki confided Violeta Narywska a quest to search for a right person to lead the Polish “sokół” movement in Lithuania. He also commended her a function of a liaison between the “sokół” movement in Poland and Lithuania, which she accepted. She took a job as a courier and she conspiratorially carried a materials belonging to “sokół” movement, publications of Polish democratic opposition and “Wileńskie Rozmaitości”, which were printed in Bydgoszcz. It is worth to remember, that caring Polish materials and publications to Lithuania was not an easy job, especially in those times. This courier job was dangerous and could be done only by an idealistic and brave person. Those are the word which ideally describes girl scout Violetta Narywska, who redeemed brilliantly from the given task.

After the arrangements were made and the trails in Bydgoszcz – Fordon were done, she moved to Lithuania, where she introduced Michał Sienkiewicz, close friend of her parents and a famous sports activist, with the ideas of s”Sokół” movement. She proposed him to join the founding committee. Michał Sienkiwicz accepted the offer and he was approved by the founding committee. In Bydgoszcz – Fordon, the reconstruction of Gymnastic Society “Sokół” in Vilnius, Lithuania –Ejszyszki was done. The function of a chairman was given to Michał Sienkiewicz. Afterward, the organization of “Sokół” in Lithuania began. In 3.05.1991 Gymnastic Society “Sokół” in Vilnius region was registered at Polish Sports Club in Lithuania called “Polonia”. Michał Sienkiewicz became a chairman and Violetta  Narywska entered the board. In 1995 Lithuanian authorities allowed to legal registration.

At that time, Violetta Narywska was also studying and she became an absolvent of Musical Academy of F. Nowowiejski in Bydgoszcz. In 1997 she received an honours degree in singing class run by known educationalist Hanna Michalak. Already during the second year, she debuted on academic stage with a soprano part of Stabat Mater by G.B. Pergolski. In 1996 she became a laureate of a second prize in a vocal concurs of I. J. Paderewski in Bydgoszcz. She refined herself during many masterful courses working under the coordination of  H. Łazarska, J. Gadulanka and J. Rappe. She became an assistance of vocal-thespian department in Musical Academy in Bydgoszcz. She collaborated with “Opera na Zamku” in Szczecin and the Theatre of Adam Mickiewicz in Częstochowa. What is more, she participated in performances directed by A. Hanuszkiewicz and K. Janda. She concretised in country and abroad. Dr. Violetta narywska was working as a pedagogue in Musical Academy of F. Nowowiejski in Bydgoszcz.  Funeral ceremony will take place in Vilnius, and then, on 26th September 2013, on graveyard in Podborze near Ejszyszki in Lithuania. It is the place where our warm-hearted, nice, wise and beautiful girl scout will rest in family vault. Just like Czesław Malewski wrote in “Podborze a testament Adama Mickiewicza”: “Niewoniańce, Tietiańce, Podborze – zachowaj nas Boże”. Podborze. Beautiful place at the regions of Puszcza Rudnicka, which remembers times of glory of The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, because it lay on road from Vilnius, through Rudniki, Ejszyszki to Cracow. It is very probable that through this neighbourhood more than one royal and grand ducal train have passed through. (…) There were neighbourhoods inhabited by parochial, very patriotic gentry since old-times. Those people were first to fight with occupier and it was the same during World War II. Local people formed a base to Home Army on those lands. (…) In Podborze and neighbourhood, Šalčininkai District Municipality, the majority of inhabitants are Poles.
